Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. San Patricio County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email message may be retained long enough to answer it and maintain the related correspondence. It remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the server to receive routine technical details about the visit:

No Criminal-Record Data on File
San Patricio County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It explains how to contact the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office, local court clerks, Texas DPS Crime Records Division, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Access to government-held information is governed by the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, while Texas criminal-history dissemination is governed by Government Code Chapter 411. Visitor information is not turned into a consumer report or a record about another person, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies provide the search-box services. Their privacy policies, retention schedules, and disclosure practices govern the information entered there. This policy does not control a partner’s systems, so review that company’s terms before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to a sheriff, court, state agency, legal resource, or outside search provider. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs under their practices.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
- Search providers that process a query you submit
- Advertising networks serving content on the pages
- A government or law-enforcement body acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable safeguards are used for information collected through the site. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however, and this policy does not promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. A confirmed submission from a minor will be removed as required.
